DIY Seasoned Salt

Seasoned salt, it's a staple in most kitchens, including mine. But after I took a look at the ingredients list on my favorite brand a few years ago, I knew I had to start making my own. I would rather have a seasoning blend that contains simple spices, instead of one full of preservatives. And what the heck do they mean by"Natural" flavors? Why don't you just list what it is exactly? I much prefer making my own blend, I can customize the flavors and leave out a certain spice if I don't care for it, such as turmeric. (An ingredient that's in a name brand seasoning salt).

You won't believe how easy it is to make your very own seasoned salt, all it takes is just four simple ingredients. Now this is a basic recipe which is great as is. but once you've tried it as stated in the recipe, you may want to kick it up a notch with some of your favorite seasonings. Some good additions would be black pepper, turmeric, crushed red pepper flakes, or a little celery salt. Go ahead and make it your own! It's definitely delicious just the way it is though, and goes well with poultry, beef, pork, fish, eggs, vegetables, and is amazing in mashed potatoes.
